Have you figured out what type of injectors you have? does your exhaust haze at idle lite coloured white smoke. if so you most likely have marine 370's the spray angle misses the bowl of the piston causeing a haze. If you compare them to stock they look fairly similar.

What year is the truck.... if it is a 94 your pump is a 165hp, 95 is a 175hp, 96 and up is 215hp. Also there are a few things you can do with your AFC flip the washer that seats against the bellows. take the plate out and put it in the glove box,grind it down to a "0" plate which has not profile completey flush. Also slack the spring in the AFC housing with the star wheel. Does your engine rev hard to 3 grand or does it defuel at 2200 rpm if so govenersprings should be upgraded! allows for more useable rpm nicer drivabilty

no i havn't figured out if a i have upgraded injectors - -i really dont know how without pulling one out - yes it is a 94
the exhaust is clean all the time - - actually she never smokes .....maybe a puff on startup and a little rich when warming up in the cold {kinda blueish}
i can't push her past 2200-2300 rpm at all
im working on getting a stack put on - -already did the intake then ill play with the plate and see what happens - -after gauges of course
thanks

Ya if she doesnt smoke much at all you probally dont have much in the way of fuel. if it wont go over 2200rpm you are still on a stock gov spring inside your pump, It limits the fuel at a certian rpm i would look in to a 3 k gov spring set it improves drivability you wont hurt anything at 2800 rpm just makes the shift points nicer not as jerky for every day driving. if you have a Automatic i would go with a 4k gov spring autos need a little mor e rpm for the same power out put. Now before we go to far with upgrades are you an Auto or Manual trans? if it is an auto you may need some work done the 47 re's dont hold much power over stock.

its an automatic . . . . .again supposedly rebuilt about 15k ago, i was under it doing some work on the frame for the plow and did see that the trans is spotless clean, i mean you can eat off it, so i would say it has been out or replaced, the company that had it before i bought it from a friend of mine had a 12 foot flat bed 8ton lift dump bed on it and hauled steel with her, so im thinking with the bigger turbo and full 4 inch down tube and exhaust and a rebuilt trans that they would have at least built it a little heavy.....might not be a suncoast or goerand spec build though.........i pushed heavy wet snow with her for 11 hrs the other day and she is a beast with no issues of slipping or over heating. I'm pretty rough [not abusive] on a plow truck and expect them to do more than they normally would, so im happy so far. im also thinking the jumping in and out of overdrive might just be the TPS not correctly adjusted after the trans removal and re-install?????? maybe???

The TPS just go bad after while.....Geno's sells them but you can clean and adjust yours to try and get it to work before you buy a new one. You wanted info the otherday and I am not sure if you came across this site yet:
Fritz's Dodge Ram Tech
There is a TON of info there about our trucks. The TPS info is in that site as well...that will keep you busy for a few days poking around there.

Duster,
it's been cold as hell here for the last few weeks and let me tell ya, the old girl really likes warming up in the morning with the tranny in neutral as opposed to park, when the windows are defrosted she's ready to go to work............THANKS for the tip
i wasn't able to get my 4x8 rectangle tubing for my stack so i finally said screw it and put a 5 inch single chrome turn out pointing straight back, up the center behind the tool box - - -it's actually quieter runnin down the road in the cab, must be the lack of any back pressure with the old muffler ...............get a little smoke now and again and it seems to shift a lot firmer and solid under exceleration ...might just be in my pea brain though, - - -definately lovin the rooooooorrrrrrrrrrr
