Parking Brake Dash Light?

I just bought a 1996 Dodge 12 valve and, aside from the immediate KDP nasty job, I'm really enjoying this truck.

I noticed, however, that upon engaging the emergency brake...there is no indicator lamp display on the dash. Surely there must be one? Where? Please don't tell me that to replace the light one must do something extreme like removing the dash or be a Houdini contortionist?

that is sad, i drive one everyday and i use my parking brake everytime, but i cant remember where the damn light is . its bright red. should have to take the cup holders out. ash tray. and take the wiring off the back of the cig lighter and aux. 12 power plug. then for the auto, put gear selector down in 1. the the dash panal snaps in and out of place. should just be a little bulb. maybe a 194? .but having a dumb A** atack at the moment

Truth is...with the torque these babies have, I'd rather see the parking brake light on rather than smell the parking brake at the next stop light! Knowing that sooner or later, I'm going to forget to pull the brake release...I tend to just put it in 1st gear when parking anywhere near level.

It is on the bottom right hand corner of dash display. bright red .. that was driving me bonkers. i see it every day and couldnt remember where it was

 

anyone know where the switch is for the parking brake lite mine stays on 99% of the
time thanks

 

Mine was staying on all of the time and then the speedo quit. When i replaced the speedo sensor the light went to normal.
