i had leaking fuel lines so i replaced the with 3/8s rubber. started the truck when i got done and it fired up ran a little ruff for a min then started running pretty good. then the truck stalled and it wont start anymore. i removed the fuel filter and it is full of fuel. i cracked the #1 injector line and cranked it for 30sec and it is not spitting any fuel. please help.. really dont want to have to take the truck to the shop.

 

when you pump the hand primer does it get hard?

no it doesnt seem to, but i cracked the bleed screw and crank the motor and there is a ton of bubbles coming out. i did it for about 20min and still bubbles. i tightend the bleeder and crack the injector line and it is not leaking anyfuel out of the injector lines.

it is not spewing any fuel when i prime with the button.. with the number 1 injector line open and cranking over the truck no fuel at all comes out of the injector line. there has to be a easier way to do this. a 2 hour fuel line job has turned into a 12hr cluster f*ck.

a thing to try is to pump air into the tank...i used an electric air matress pump with a towel wrapped around the end so it fit in the fill tube....i quickly found a leak on top the sending unit at the 3/8 feed line. I have a draw straw on the way.

 

I had this problem about a month back because i had air leaks in my fuel lines. First, go through and check all your hoses, hose clamps, and component connections for tight seals. Pumping the hand pump wont help you unless your fuel lines are air tight. Then pump that hand pump like your life depended on it. It took me 30-40 minutes of pumping before i stopped getting bubbles out of the bleed bolt. Then tighten up the bleed bolt and loosen all 6 injectors - not the bolts on top of the injection pump. Then crank the engine. If cranking isnt working, try getting the truck rolling. Physically forcing the gears to move should push out any air in the system.
Worked for me. Let me know if you're still having trouble.

 

yea there is fuel. i dont have the filler neck on that wouldnt make a diffrence though?.... true or false.... if the new lines are good there should b fuel spraying out of the injector line i have cracked? i mean how long could it possibly take for the lines to fill with fuel? i primed the filter so i know there is fuel in the filter so shouldnt the injection pump be atleast trying to fire the motor off the fuel in the filter? or if not fireing it spraying the fuel from the filter out of the injector line?
