Default Valve cover gaskets

I had 1 valve cover leak a little. I decided that since I just bought the truck, I should check the valve lash. Now 5 of them leak. They are all hard as a rock and I'm gunna replace them all. They all had RTV on them to Band-Aid it I guess. Is Fel-pro a good replacement? Thanks for your input.

the rubber compound ones are the way to go it seems that the cork ones tend to leak over time

Napa's are probably Fel-pro..if they are old stock then they are Victor Reinz....both will be fine.

check to see if the little o-rings on the bolts are not bad, if those are not on or they are bad, that will cause oil to leak from the gasket.

I use Cummins gasket, they are grey in color, i have had all four colors on my truck before (red, green, black and grey) grey is the best, for me not sure why but they just worked and fit better.

I can get the upper gasket kit for 59.00 (this is Cummins OEM)

the cummins grey gaskets are the best, just make sure you don't overtorque the valve cover bolts. 18ft pounds max
