Default egt issue

hi guys, i just got done installing my ht3b under my hx35/40 hybrids. i made absolutely no changes to the fuel. for some reason it seems like my egts a running hotter then they were. and they definatly should be lower with twins. im getting plenty of boost. i only through 60psi at her so far. its boostin good and has a lot of power. does how far the probe sticks in the manifold make a difference? would the probe being upside down make a difference? idk what it could be. but they should be lower. but i also could just have been putting my foot in it more without realizing just to hear that ht3b scream

with twins youll have more drive pressure maybe you dont have enough fuel or timing

X2 but at the same time the foot could be the root of your problem as with everyone everytime we put a new toy on our rig we want to see what it can do so walla we get higher then normal everything or lower in the case of fuel mileage

the probe should be in about an inch, it wont matter if its upside down..................so what temps ya seeing???

yeah im bumping up my timing.
but wouldnt more fuel increase the egts even more.

i used to cruise at 60mph at about 700*
now its 800*.

but itll help the chargers spool whats it at when you floor it in high gear

What cm exhaust housing is on the HT3B that you have?????...

Too large down below and its late spooling creating higher intake air temps into the top charger which then just get hotter.Most guys will run a 22 or 26 undivided housing down below on the big charger to allow it to spool and help the system not get bogged down with drive pressure issues.The trick is the have the bottom chargers exhaust housing tight enough to get it spooled a tad quicker but not too tight that it creates drive pressure issues and not to big down below thus causing the top charger to take on most of the work load for both.
