Default tranny fluid

going to change fluid and put in tranny temp guage. question is i want to use synthetic but i know lots of fluid is still in coverter. is it bad to mix the two?????

If the convertor does not have a drain plug,make sure you have extra quarts of tranny fluid.Drop the line going to the radiator and place some hose onto it and place it in a bucket.Start the truck,place it in nuetral and use the first couple of quarts to flush out the convertor and ensure you have fresh fluid in it.Once you start to see the fluid in the bucket cleaning up then replace the line and finish the change over to the new fluid.

There is no problem mixing so if you do leave some in there it's no big deal. You just don't want to go a full 50k on that oil. Maybe 20-30 and do it again.

get ams tranny fuild will drop the temp 30 degrees

my tranny guy swears by it
