Default GEN light on

just did my KDP and it was on its way out! got it all back together and now GEN light it on and charging system reads about 9. does the speed sensor on the crank have anything to do with this if the gap is not right?

yes the alternator will not charge if the sensor is not functioning properly. i had a problem with mine until i guess i finally got it in the right range. or could have oil or grease build up on the sensor. these are both the issues i have run into so far

thaks alot as i though it might be the culprit. what are the gap specks? i just used a match book folded in half. pretty redneck i know!!!! i would asume the sensor it too far away.
