Fuel Lift Pump Troubleshooting

Fuel Lift Pump Troubleshooting
Hi all , new to the forum with a problem off course.
I lost power but made it home.
Changed the fuel filter and it ran for 5 seconds and died, tried to prime the filter but nothing comes out the top of the filter, loosened the other bolt on the filter and crancked , nothing either.
I seemed to be able to pull fuel with a vacuum pump.
Anything else I can try to verify the fuel lift pump's at fault?
Any suggestions on aftermarket pumps? as I replaced this one 2 years ago.
Thanks

I almost guarantee it is your lift pump. Same exact thing happened to me. When you changed the fuel filter you lost all the suction your fuel system had when you opened it up and, if it hasn't already, it won't crank over at all. I put a new aftermarket lift pump on and haven't had problems since. The sponsors here can get you a new after market lift pump. Airdog and FASS are the most common aftermarket lift pumps I hear about. Airdog is cheaper right now though. Post a price quote up here and the sponsors will get you one ASAP.
