when mine just had the star wheel cranked and 100 plate in stock position stock filter and exaust i got 22 highway going easy on it, but thats when the tranny was good, now it slips like no other and i have a hard time averaging 16

mine gets 13 to 14 i still cant figure out whats wrong with it timing is set right all filters are good and the tires are 33s.

 

Ya I remember your thread. Boost leak? Fuel leak? Improperly tuned afc? Slipping trans? Could be a lot of things (that I dont know )

 

22 was babying it on the highway running offroad, and yea a fryied tourque and slipping tranny makes fuelmilage suck

 

by a inproperly tuned afc what do you mean like it smoking to much or what?

 

Just an afc thats not setup correctly. Fueling too much down low, laying it on too thick up-top and putting out the fire etc. AFC tuning is an art and does take some skill..

Well my first tank w/ the straight pipe, bhaf, and fuel plate with me harping the SH*T out of the truck in all city driving resulted in 14mpg. We'll see what happens when I start babying it and when I go on a 600mile round trip on the highway next weekend!

 

MONSTER DIESEL Additive. little on the expensive side but does work... Cleaning injectors, increases like 3-5 mpgs, and improves performance.
