the 12v engine is why everybody wants one or uses them as a base for there pullers, racers what ever...its simply for the fact of the P7100 injection pump i dont matter how many valves you have if its got the p-pump then its gonna be a runner

I bought a p-pump 12v cuz I wanted easy and cheap. But I'm sure I can find a free junked VP44 somewhere. Maybe even a free good one. But I like my 3 wire motor just the same as small block chevys. Cheap to find another one for a spare, easy to work on and no GD computer!!!

Huh, Let me know how that izuzu **** box works out for you, when you got 260,000 miles on it let alone 40,000 id rather have a gas job than a chuby truck with a diesel, or any engine for that matter.

12vavle, let me know what it'll cost to do what you have in your sig to the d-max. I was a Chevy man for life till a month ago. I had a 6.5 then a 6.2. If I had the time to put a Cummins in a Chevy, I'd still be a Chevy man. But time is short with a 6 month old boy and working 3rd shift. I know this is all off topic but you all know how it goes.

I was talking with my experiance, with a 04 duramax, the thing would not move out of its own way, the front end fell out of it 2 times, thought i was going to die. The thing sounded like an old electraluxe vacume. God bless you for running that many miles on a duramax, and id like to see it run 12.88 with that little done to it....what was that in the 1/8 mile?. Good luck with your new truck if you get one, ill keep my ole 12 valve

Huh, i herd that you have to put all new internals in them if you go over 500 hp to the wheels? I never looked into them cause the thing i had was falling appart @ 40,000 miles and it was stock. But then who knows maybe i got a lemon, Im just saying in my opinion id rather have a dodge with a cummins than any other vehical, you are intitled to buy what ever jap crap you want, thats the beauty of AMERICA, as we know it.

I hope you don't sell your 12 valve, sounds like a nasty rig, i want a 5speed like you read about
