want to build u my tranny but don't have much money. How much much horse power can a rebuilt converter handle want to make like 450 or 500 hp so will a rebuilt one Handel that or do I need to go bilet

 

If it is a stock rebuild it will not handle anywhere near that. Go billet!!! A good rebuild with reprogrammed valve body and billet converter will even be pushed with 500 real HP. If you truly want to build that much power you need a fully built trans with a billet input most likely and you still may break it if you are going to really use all 500hp.

 

Well I probably won't make 500 but I was gona get everything done but didn't no wat the rebuilt converter would handle with valve body and shaft and all that good stuff.

 

500 u will definately need billet triple disk, valve body and billet input shaft

 

500 { horsepower will definetly need a billet coverter i had 500 on a stock input shaft but would recommend putting one in they are expensive but worth the money also you need the trans beefed up so those are a few things to do
