Even with a starter from the auto parts store, I would throw some of the Larry B's contacts in. I put an auto parts store starter in, and it was sticking in about 6 months. Put the contacts in, haven't had a problem since (about 3 years).

Make sure you have a 10 mm 12 point socket or wrench to get the starter bolts off.

well we got a late start 2day and got the truck on the lift ok.. for a split second i thought it wouldnt be able to lift my truck but it did... tried to take one of the bolts of and snapped the pole i was using for more leverage we said f**** it cause we only had 20 mins left... also i was lucky to get my truck down form the lift... shortly after taking mine down the aircompressor to a s**t 3 cars were left stranded on the lifts hahah oh btw i guess we have the best auto progam in the state of wisconsin... so thats cool

If your using a 12pt socket you can crank on 'em pretty good. Mine I had to pull pretty hard and then they just popped lose.

Yeah, you just gotta crank on them. Curse a lot, it helps.

some times on ebay you can find good 5.9 starters i got one a few months back for about 70.00 with shipping and no core
