Do you mean 2095 rack plug aka mack rack plug? It adds rack travel when your afc is setup to allow it. Im pretty sure its about 2mm of rack travel so maybe 30hp.

is your truck a 5 spd if so you should not use this plug 215horse trucks with 913 pumps can use this because the more rack travel the more it retards timing you can use it in all autos and 5spds from 94-95 maybe a few in 96 remeber you cant use it in a 215hp pump

how do you keep it from retarding the timing?

the 215s retard timing up top so when you add a rack plug to increase rack travel then you retard timing even more.

Dave when did you add yours?

mine has flat top plungers ... but for a street 215 pump you were 100% right on the no rack plug.for a competiton truck I would put a rack plug and advance the timing more.
