Default tranny or convertor?
i'm having problems,something is slipping,i'm thunking convertor cause it doesn't seem to slip unless it's locked up.i was messing with it and i mashed it in third and it didn't seem to slip at all,then i turned o.d.off and when it locked up in 3rd,i mashed it and it slipped bad,and it vibrates.i also checked the fluid and it looks good and smells good.does anybody have an opinion on this,am i on track?

Sounds most like a converter issue. I can set you up with a nice suncoast converter and valve body for a great deal!
