Default How often do you adjust your valves

I was just wondering how often did everybody adjust thier valves. every 50,000, 25,000, 75,000??

Every 100,000 is what they (Dodge) recommends.

thats what my manual says to. ( haynes ). I was just woundering if harder you run them (higher rpm ) the more often you adjust. I just seeing what people have to say

Just did mine all were out at 72,000.I figure while I am changing injectors.quiet the truck down,at idle and on the road.

my personal opinion would be to check them around 60,000. its not that hard to just roll it over to TD Firing #1 and check the int. and exh, if they're out by say... .007 then that is realisticly .005 of lift you arent getting. doesnt sound like much, but it does help if your trying to squeeze every last bit out of it. or if your just really critical on taking care of your truck. hell, the first gen (can't recall the valves ever being done prior to my ownership) were out by close to .020

50-75K is what I go for. Speaking of which....I'm overdue!

I check mine about every second oil change or about 12,000 miles.It may seem excessive but I am a believer in preventing an issue before one has a chance to happen.A while back when after I had the head done the first time I ran the truck to the second oil change at 12,000 miles and pulled the valve covers to check the lash.If I wouldn't have done that I would have missed an issue I had with my roller rockers and some failed bushings.At 12k it was a little problem but if I would have left it alone and not checked it for 50-75k then it would have been catastrophic.A little inconvenience early may save you thousands later in repair bills.
