Default HX 50 EGTS

Hey guys im new on the forum, ive got a 97 5.9 auto with lots of fueling, blew the poor little hx 35 not long after making 500/1000 at the wheels so i just built a custom hx 50 with a 1.0 exhaust housing to reduce the lag but no gate on it, my egts are like 1500 pre charger with 3 stages of water.... why....mabe my drive pressures are to high?? i have to check them, any info would be appreciated.

You dont have enough fuel to spool the charger I'm guessing. If you could let us know what your other mods are. What wheels are in the charger? what compressor housing?

The hx-50 isnt really an efficent setup in the first place, It's a (pardon my french) Lag Wh*re. It's not setup to cool a heavily fueled truck. I'll drop a note to John P. and get his opinion, he's far more experienced in the 12v area!

No worries it is a custom 50 with stock wheels in it, i have tons of fuel, the turbo lights at about 600f pre charger and sails to 50 psi, the charger flows about 1200 cfm and still cant see the road for smoke, is it possible that it is still to small of housing it is a 1.0 exhaust witch is about a 14cm housing.

It could be two small of a housing or you could be getting way to much fuel for that charger. Have you got a friend or someone close that might have a 66 you could try and see what results that nets?
