replacing head light bulbs

Do you have the Dodge Ram manuel? It'll do you more justice than what I can explain. You have to weave your hand in front of the batteries down to the headlamps. Once you find the "twist lock" set up. Once you find it turn it and pull the bulb out. The connectors aren't long so you'll be working on a short leash. The bulbs are held on by two clips that you can pop off with a little flat head screwdriver. Once the old bulb is out, put the new one in, insert into the headlamp and twist it to lock it into place. Hope it helps, but once you get the first one done the second one goes so much faster.

What I did to get mine in and out easily without removing the batteries as stated was this...
I removed the batteries the first time when I did the headlight change and looked the setup over.As already stated if your careful you can slip down along the batteries to remove the headlights, however, the headlight wiring harness is short and you will not be able to move them that far to get the clips undone. While mine was apart I took the clips that are on the plugs of the headlights and removed them so all you need to do is slide the plug in and out, thus making removal alot easier while the batteries are in place.
With the clips on the bulbs gone, simply slide your hand in around the battery, unplug the light and twist the ring and out it comes.Replacement is just the opposite, place the ring on and fish the bulb back into place and then slide the plug back into the bulb and your done.
Mine were done at 14,000 miles when I wanted to install the PIAA Super Whites and the truck now has 208,000 miles on it and the headlight bulbs have never came unplugged with the clip removal.......Andy
