Default pump plug

ok guys i finally got my valve springs and 4k kit in my truck.
i went to put everything back together and get it running.
the plug on the side of the pump where you changed out the springs doesnt want to go back in.
its hitting the linkage but i dont understand why it came out just fine, but it doesnt want to line up and go back in.ive been going at it forever now and im fed up with it,
i took the bolt out of the bottom of the fuel shutoff linkage but how to i remove it off the shaft the comes out of the pump?
any answers asap thanks

there is like a little cotter pin that holds the selinoid on the shaft, you should be able to get the plug in if you got it out, thats beond me. i guess start removing stuff till it gets back together
