Default Curious?

My dad has a 03 dodge 3500 6 speed. Its just stock but it seems to pull like a freight train. What could i do to my 96 2500 auto to get it to pull like that thing does. I wish it had the nv4500.... I just ordered stewart warner pyro, boost, and trans temp gauges. I plan on trying to grind my plate and adjust on the afc housing. But i dont kno how crazy i can get on the stock tranny.

yes but you need a donor tuck driveshafts pedals transfer case unless you swap input shafts on it master clylinder slave clylinder harness and i think the crossmember is different it can be done but its a pain to do for one and the way performance autos are now they will handle more than a straight stick if the auto is built right

no such thing.

its either a nv4500 5 speed or nv5600 6 speed, and yes it can be done for roughly 6-10k

Where the hell do you get 6 to 10k from for the price. If you can find a totaled truck on craigslist that has all the parts you can do it all for less then 5 grand I got my donor truck for 1 k all I need now is the clutch and flywheel. That's another 1500 to 2500 depending on how good a clutch you want or you can get the luk clutch set with flywheel from autozone for 600 and bam its all done for less then 5000 so 6 to 10 k is way out of range there

i just helped a guy do the nv5600 swap in his 96 auto. tranny was $3000, dual disk clutch $1600, tcase work $500 driveline shorten and thengthen $400, tranny adapter $400, shift kit $100, full synthetic flud $100, 2low kit $400, mounting harware $200, not everyone likes to go with used parts thats close to 7k
