Default its the gauge, not the turbo...Help please

I let the truck get cold and started playing with it some more. The dust came from the POS filter that was in it and God knows what else the dust got into inside the turbo. With the intake hose removed I started the truck and I could see the compressor spinning; so I put it in gear, held the brakes, revved it to around 2200 and could hear the turbo screaming. But the gauge read zero.

Has anyone else had similar problems with their boost gauges? If so, how did you fix it???

I work as an Instrument tech and I have spent some time trying to fix pressure guages.

If you are going to even attempt to fix it you need special equipment or at least another guage that you know is good to test the fixed guage.

Boost guages are around $40 - just buy a new one.

how is it driving? if it drives like a TURBO diesel you probably have a bad gauge.
