hi guys i got a 96 12 vale with some slight fuel mods.
i want more power.
im thinking a 4k kit and 60lb valve springs
i also found an hx40 turbo.
will a hx40 bolt right up?
i have 4 inch turbo back into a 7inch mitre cut.

 

hx40 will bolt up. 4000rpm spring and 60lb spring sound good. i would look into a different turbo than the hx40. how much hp you trying to get.

 

idk more than i got i really want the 4k kit and springs.. but my truck runs hot the way it is now.. that why i need air upgrades too.

 

what fuel plate are u running and where do u have it set up?

 

#10 almost full forward.
would it be worth upgrading to an hx40 i can get a used one for like 220 shipped?

 

you will also need a hx40 style downpipe as well. your stock one wont fit its to small

 

have 4 inch turbo back and the guy says it has a 4 inch outlet. still no good?

 

needs to have a 4" inlet with a 4" v-band clamp

 

kk would an hx40 be worth getting?
or is that a small improvement?
i want like a hx55 but i dont know if i can spool it that quick

 

if i was you i would go with something different than a hx40..last weekend i broke the shaft in my hx40.. there a good turbo if your looking for something cheap but if you looking for something that you can get some power out of i would go with something different
