if its a stock turbo thats even more reason to worry bout it, smaller tighter housing restricts flow and raises drive press resulting in a loss of power. but it looks cool to see the boost guage higher than it was so its worth it right?

Yea.....Not a good thing, We restrict flow to the wastegate, But we dont block it off. THE WASTE GATE MUST OPEN SOME!!! Not to mention, With your waste gate not functioning your probably loosing quite a bit of power. With any mods to the truck you would already be out of the efficiency range of the turbo and simply trying to compress hot useless air. Not to mention that your asking for disaster when you over spool the charger, It's only a matter of time before it pops.
So with that said , You guys with aftermarket chargers reading this. THERE IS MORE TO ADJUSTING YOU WASTEGATE than just more boost. Before making any adjustments know the Map of the charger and the max efficent boost!

.....I didnt read this when i posted my first post.....High drive pressures.....they eat head gaskets, pistons and lots of other parts you need to remain running....Avoid them at all cost....
