turbo ring

how do i remove the turbo silincer ring

as i said before remove the hose on the intake side and you'll see a snap ring wit hthe silencer ring behind it.remove the snap ring with a screwdriver and pliers.the silencer ring will fall out.

you will definatly hear it better,and it does allow a little more air in there,thus maybe a little more hp.mainly sound though.

cool im going to take it out shortly do you have any ideas about why my truck dies when i come to a stop its only when my ac is on though

NO it does NOT improve air flow AT ALL it actully hurts it, The additional whistle you hear is the turbulance caused by the inlet! There's no additional air, No additional power!

really? I did not know that. one question tho how come performance turbos don't have these rings?

Exactly but with the addition of the fact that The dodge pickups were built with the general consumer in mind, There was a demand for a quite diesel pickup that were more driver friendly so they went looking for every bit of noise dampening equipment they could find! Secondly is most of the larger turbos have the inducer and the compressor housing machined.

took me awhile to figure out sig computer illiterate does anybody have an idea about my ac killing my truck it idles and drives fine without it on

Theres a number of things that can cause that issue , are you running an automatic?
