You gain top end and loose a tiny bit of bottom end power. it ups milage lowers EGTs it also makes it louder and smokes a little more and can make a little bit more idle haze and slightly harder to start on colder days.

I didnt notice much performance difference in mine. The factory timing slips so it is necessary to retime to make the truck run like its supposed to.

I guess I should have added that all I really noticed was more noise. and it revs alot easier past 3K but thats when I went to 19.

i havent really noticed any power gain by having mine at 18.5* mainly responsiveness, cold starts are a b!!ch though

whats it cost to get my truck timmed? i would do it myself but don't have the tools and don't really understand how to do it

Free - $400 depending on who you know, how good they are and where you go.

When doing the timing = its always a good idea to fix the KDP (and vice versa)

pop the gear off and roll the engine so it will advance it, theres a little trick i learned that actually worked with no tools needed. I call it the redneck way, it isnt acurate

yeah i know this way but wat do u use to pop the gear off?
