When your running down the road what kind of boost are you seeing? how does the truck run, is it sluggish does it run clean? how does the smoke clear when you put down the throttle or does the smoke continually since the plate is set full forward?

Running down the freeway I see about 5-8 psi of boost. It runs clean for the most part. When it's warming up, from a stop and moderate acceleration, I'll get just a tiny bit of white smoke. When it warms up it's clear. From a stop, accelerating hard, I can no longer see behind me. If I stay on the throttle, it'll start to clear up, but there will still be a good amount of smoke.

94 12valve: Tried that the first time I set the valve lash. I wanted to see if removing the intake would cause temps to come down any. Turbo spins good, and spins for quite a while after I shutdown. Bearing play is nothing in and out, very slight movement radially. I don't see any evidence of the wheel contacting the housing or anything.

Just curious if you ever solved this? I've got the same issue now.

Have you checked the cam lift yet? I'm thinking the lobes are getting to be more round than oblong. Its not letting in enough cool air for some reason.

Thanks for all the new ideas guys. I have checked out the pyro lead. In fact, I sent my pyro back to autometer and had them test it and send it back with a new lead. I may try getting supply power from it from somewhere else and see what that does. I'll also try the hot water trick. Won't hurt at this point. As far as cam lift, does anyone know where I could get those specs?
