Default No power to transmission

Ever since I tried to diagnose the reason for my non charging alternator (see the weirdness thread), I have no power to the transmission. It gives me a series of codes about no voltage to the various solenoids plus a code for reversed battery terminals (they are not reversed). My truck is stuck in 2nd gear. where should I begin tracking down the short, bad relay, fried computer, etc?

I would check the solenoids on the tranny first since they are cheaper to replace, but if not that i would go to the PCM.

Since the initial problem was likely with the PCM, I'm leaning that way. I just dont think that all of the solenoids in the tranny burnt out at the same time.

What I would like to know is if there is some relay, fuse or such which could have burnt out between the PCM and transmission? Is the shifting logic entirely controled by the PCM or is there a brain within the transmission receving power from the PCM or some relay?

Thanks for the replys.
