Default tranny cooler... fuel tank

soo.... i talked to this guy at work the other day and he has the same truck as me and he said that one thing he did to help his tranny is he took a tranny cooler out of an old chevy truck that was A LOT bigger then the stock tranny cooler from dodge and put that into his truck.. he said it helped with tranny temps a lot..... nybody else do/ have herd of this??? good idea?????? also i had a independent mechanic look at the truck and theres somethin in the fuel tank thats causing a loss of power/ the fuel filter needs to be changed every 200 miles... i was thinking that i could add n additive to clean it out?? or would the whole fule system need do be cleaned?? ohh how much would that cost?

If you have an algae problem, you could fix with additives. If it is some other contamination you might need to drop the tank and flush it out.
As for the tranny, a bigger cooler wouldn't hurt for sure.
