Default Sending Unit

Was wondering where the best place to get a sending unit for my 97 12 valve would? I tried the local places like napa, autozone and advanced with no luck and the local dealership wants my first born for one.

hmm, well what sending unit do you need? oil psi? temp? fuel?....if its for oil or temp, just get a mechanical gauge, thats the cheapedt and more accurate way of doing it

That would be the fuel sending unit that goes in the tank, the the out line has a crack right at the base of the 90 degree piece of line that comes out. So it sucked air and stalled on me, so i lifted the box off with ratchet straps and the beams in my garage. Seems that no one local is able to get them except dodge.

hummm, you can try ebay, you can try blue chip performance...i'm not much help to you, i would do what your doing and ask around, also see if you can't google it or ask some site sponsers on this site, they can prolly get it for a good deal.....do a "pricw quote on it in that section and see what happens.

dont even bother with any of that factory crap. i went threw 4 of them before i gave up. if you dont mind an extra guage use my way. i bought a matching fuel guage of all my other aftermarket guages. go to shucks buy a universal $15 sender. drop your tank and cut a 2" hole at the highest, closets part of the cap and bolt it in. then hook up to your new aftermanket fuel guage. hell its 10 times more accurate than the factory ones

I think i confused u guys, I need the whole sending unit cause the fuel line has a crack in it,there for my truck will not run as it is sucking air. My fuel gauge works fine. Just to let you know i've called the 3 closest dodge dealerships and the prices range from 490 to 550.
