Default a couple of questions

ok guys i cant seem to figure it out so how do i identify what my rear axle is and is there a way to visually tell ifmy tc is stock or upgraded the previous owner had the trnny rebuilt not long before i bought it and i know he pulled his show truck with it alot

your rear axle is a dana 70 becasue you have a 2500 auto. they ran dana 80's in the 5 speed, visualy the only way to tell if the tq converter is upgraded is to pull the inspection cover off, if it has one and look to see if there are any numbers on it

On the end of your input shaft on the diff it should be stamped in there with what gears you got 4 10 or 3 75

or under your hood ther should be a sticker torad the grill that shows what it is and the ratio

thanks guys my tranny has an inspection cover do you guys know what numbers are stock or aftermarket?

ok i got under the truck today and i cant find any numbers oon the tc so guess its stock?

well i thought i might get lucky and already have a good tc but i guess ill just have to save up some dough in yalls opinion what is a good tc to go with i want to end up with about 400 hp on the truck so im just curious what i should go with as far as a tc a vb and should i need shafts im not hard on my truck

input shaft VB and TC will get ya there easy. I like Georend you cant beat his service.

If your turrning around 3K at 70 you have 3.55s your trans is a 47re your tcase should be a NV241D your axle is a dana 70 they came on the 2500 autos. 2500 sticks and all 3500s came with a dana 80.
