extra fuel tank
hey everybody my dad just gave me a 100 gallon tank for the bed of my truck and i was wondering if it would be a good idea to set it up on a gravity feed to my main tank
thanks for any input

Yes you should. If it sets in the sun it has a very good chance of getting allergro in your tank. So put a good filter on it. I have one on my tank and was glad when the allergro showed up.I use a 12V farm pump it comes in handy if you need some fuel for somthing else.===Good luck
get your self a fernace fuel filter with a clear housing to see crap inside it

hard line it in with galvanized fittings close to the pump

go to a store that carries a furnace oil filter set i work at a hardware store and sell them but i dont know of were else you would get them other than like ziggys or whoever sells oil furnace parts. you can get 12v pumps that are just inlie for like $50 or you can get an actual sliptank/ farm pump for about $300 that uses pipe fittings. come off your tank with pipe fittings to your filter then streight into your pump after that. most guys around here that do it put a 3" pipe nipple between the two to make the filter as close to the pump as posible
ecaclty, up here if you have a lifted truck with a slip tank in it, you have gotten pulled over and dipped at one point in time. ive been dipped twice since ive owned this truck a year and a half
