Default Injection Pump

So I took my injection pump to Industrial Injection to get rebuilt and they Quoted me 2,000 bucks to rebuild it which I dont understand the pump worked fine when I took it off im rebuilding the engine so I figured I would do the pump too. Does that price seem way out in left field to you guys?? I Know I can buy a rebuilt one for less than half that. Who has the best deal on rebuilt pumps?

sorry for the long post

how many miles are on the pump, these pumps are known to go a million miles without a rebuild...if there wasnt nothin wrong with than i dont know why you want to get it rebuilt

What is the difference between a 215 pump, and a 180 pump. i know the delivery valves are different. what is the other differences? can i make my 180 pump a 215 pump? or make the same power as a 215 pump?

215s make more power however there downside is they start retarding timing around 13mm (i think) of rack travel due to the retard notches in the top of the plungers. Makes them a good street pump but not so great for performance.

I think what he is saying is that he wants the pump put on a stand and turned up. If that is the case you can find one cheaper than that in the 800.00 and less range. If you cant find anyone i know a guy in Iowa that does it for a good price.

Just stay away from pensacola diesel. You get what you pay for. I swear i should make a write up about them.

What are you wanting to do to your pump bow?

Shouldnt need a rebuild. Just find you a 215 or turn yours up.
