I have not done much chain hookin, but i did hook up to my buddies 12 valve the other day, hes got the 5spd and i have an auto, what do you guys suggest i pull in? Over drive off or on? and should i start in 1st and manually shift threw the gears? I keep od off most of the time just cruisen around town and up big hills and i only have od on when im on the highway. I am going to put a lock up swich in but i want to upgrade my trans first b4 i blow it up

I would say start out in first gear and leave overdrive off. I have never hooked chains before and i dont really want to as it is so hard on stuff. You should beat him though just because he has a manual.

I thought you were trying NOT to break your truck All you should need is first, don't spin your tires or you will lose, which is why u want him to break traction first then floor it. But with an auto u should win hands down....

The tranny will get hot for sure if it lasts alil bit because you will be basicly just preloading it like your doin a boosted launch waitin for the other truck to break loose.. Air your tires down as well for a better and more grippy foot print.

SNAP goes your input.... OD locked out and let it shift up as needed. try not to loose traction and make sure you have the cash in your pocket for some new trans parts.
