hey guys. im lookin to do some sled pullin.
i got a 96 12 valver with a nv4500 5spd. the gears go L 1 2 3 D.
if im pullin in 4 wheel peal low what gear in the tranny should i take of in?
I obviously wont be shifting during the pull.
any advice would be great

 

what gearing tire size horsepower/torque and what clutch

 

i think 3.55 grear. im guessing about 250 horse 550 torque aftermarket autoglide clutch

wow you can win pulling in low third a friend of mine pulls in hi second for the speed that other gear is too slow

 

with 3:55 and stockish power, thats his best bet....

 

when i pull mine this summer im going to pull in 3rd or 4th low range. but dont ever pull in 5th bad things WILL happen

 

agreed for stock power thought it was bombed
