Unless you have newer wheels - you already have 16" wheels.

8 lug 15" wheels are hard to find, and they are out there but they will never clear the brakes. 16" and larger is your only option here.

16's are stock on 94-02 dodges! They handle just fine.

Why would the handling be any different between 16 and 17" wheels?

Stock wheels can handle a great deal of stress. If you have 3rdgens you already have what everyone wants. Well almost everyone.

the wheel diameter doesnt really affect handling. but the larger the diameter wheel you usually find the sidewalls get shorter most of the time and at least when you trying to keep the same height tire. shorter tires generally handle better steering but might tend to ride rougher

if you have two tires the same height but one is a larger rim size,it will have a shorter sidewall meaning it will have less flex.and an inch could make a hell of a difference on such a heavy vehichle.im sure since 16 is stock they dont handle terrible bit if i went back to there after driving on 17s is there gonna be a hell of a diff.the 17s were on it when i got it.i guess i was thinking i could get 16 tires a little cheaper.

Thats not true. I went from the stock 265 to 295's (which is more than an inch) and barely noticed any difference in handling.

IM JUST SAYING THAT IT CAN HAPPEN,IT ALL DEPENDS ON HOW MANY PLYS,HOW WIDE, SUSPENSION,ECT.I WAS JUST WONDERED IF ANYBODY HAD RUN BOTH WHEEL SIZES AND NOTICED ANY DIFFERENCE.BUT I JUST BOUGHT A SET OF TIRES FOR MY 3RD GEN.17"WHEELS THOUGH.
