My tranny just went out and just wondering if yall might have any suggestions to find a decent priced reman. tranny?

dunno i just got a phone call from the fiance sayin the tranny just blew. im just lookin into trying to get another one cause cant really look at it im across the country right now.

damn to bad you didnt know the problem if it were just the 5th gear ir clutch or input shaft

i just got ahold of her again just now and she is sayin that it wont hardly go into any gear. and it grinds everytime she forces it into gear if she can even get it into gear.

its a clutch problem then either the input shaft is toast or the pressure plate is toast and my guess is the tranny is fine which will save you thousands in repairs

ok i really appreciate. i was afraid i was gonna prolly have to replace it and sell a bunch of my toys to pay for it since the ole government isn't payin too good these days.

im 90% sure your tranny is fine them nv4500 are damn near bullet proof im throwing 500hp into a stock tranny with a big *** clutch, if you wanted a stock replacement clucth and input shaft your looking at about $500 if you want to go overboard for big power donw the road a big single at $800 for the clutch and then a new input shaft if that is bad. you just have to pull it apart and look. shouldnt take more that 5 hours to get them separated
