luk clutch?
i am looking at a luk clutch on cumminsforum. im thinking its probably not the best becuase he only wants 200 for it? Its a ceramic clutch i guess. my truck is a 96 and I have pump mods, boost elbow, open intake and exhaust. not idea what im putting down for hp but it runs pretty good and I want a clutch that I can put in and not worry about. Im thinking probably a DD clutch? I do alot of towing and just playing around with it. Ive never hooked it to a sled or run it down a drag strip and dont really have any plans to right away.
anyways give me some price quotes...my stocker doesnt seem to like the new found power.

you dont need a dual disk with the mods you have currently, but if your going higher i would, i would either go with a valair or a south bend on a cumming, the saying "you get what you pay for" stands true with clutches
thats what i figured as far as getting what you pay for. I think I might just go with a dual disk just so i dont have to worry about it for a while. I plan on doing a turbo upgrade and some mild injectors but thats it.
i just installed the south bend 3600 plate load dutal dual disc, it not rated for compition use, but i wanted to go over kill, i paid about $1400 with taxes, so far i love the clutch, 100x better then the single i was running before. also i stayed with the 1.25 input shaft, plan on going with an iron giant down the road when money prevails and when i start pulling. the main advantage of the bigger 1.375 input shaft is strength, also i was told that the smaller input shaft does not have long enough splines but dont see that to be true.
I'm running the Full Ceramic Clutch on my truck. I really like it but its really to grabby to be a towing clutch. If you have the $$$ available I would get a Valair DD. If money is tight we can set you up with a very nice Valair Single Disc.
