Default HELP! What's wrong with my truck?!

Ok I had a bunch of problems with headgaskets. So I said screw it and pulled the motor, then had it gone through. The machine shop took 10 off of the deck, bored the cylinders, cleaned up the cam, turned the crank, and checked the new head for flatness.

I put the motor back together myself and it runs great. It instantly blew the first gasket, that was my bad. I tried to put it on by myself by hand and scooted it.

Put a new gasket on and installed it with a motor hoist and a helper. I know this one was set on straight.

But yet I still blow gaskets?

What am I doing wrong? This is getting really old!

Timing is set at 17* FTW

Please help me fix this pos!

oh yea and it has about 3.5k on the rebuild.

No I didn't install studs.

The motor has 3.5k on a fresh decking (10 removed). It has never been over 205* temp. It had better be flat!

Yea that's what I was thinking.

Think it would hold with just o-rings? I just don't have the cash for the studs at the moment.

with just o-rings i wouldnt i would much rather have studs over rings, your need to clamp the head down, o-rings alone i dont think will help, your looking for 300+ just for head work with o-rings, if you shop around you will find studs verry cheep i got mine for a steel, but forced to secricy
