bigger = better. ceramic will eat the flywheel up more than other clutches like organic ones because the facing is so much harder. the buttons refer to ho many buttons or pucks are on the disks the more the pucks the better it will lock up usually street drag clutches have more pucks but smaller and sled pulling clutches have less but bigger pucks. ceramic is not bad its all in what you want they will hold good power but do have downfalls like anything else ceramic tends to be very grabby full feramics will also eat your flywheel up they are a sintered iron facing kind of whats on brake pads i am going to put a full ceramic 13'' valair on my rig soon i hate the way burnt clutch smells

just get the 13" 6 speed conversion, dont worry about it getting eaten up they all do that, the 6 speed can be ground down multiple times the 5 speed only once. if you want the best single that one will be it, dont worry about it getting eatin

Yup, Chrysler new that in the early 60s, look @ a hemi four speed clutch vs a 383 or even a 440 cui clutch, the hemi clutch is massive! like stated above ther is a reason for that!

I am in the same boat as Navelseabee, but my question is what is the best clutch out there I have your 3 basic mods but I am doing more to it and planning on making about 550 rwhp when it is all is done. Witch company is better Valair or Southbend alot of guys around here are running SB but only one guy has said anything about Valair. ( he also said that he would install one for 1300 bucks too) I guess what I am saying is that I have heard more good things about SB then Valair but would be willing to try the Valair if I knew more about there rebutation. any advise would be good
