Default 97 3500 srw

I got doing some research on my pickup the other day. I ran the vin # and it showed up as a 3500. Truck never has been wrecked so the hood is factory with the tag on it still. I asked a buddy from dodge and he said that they did make trucks like that but put 2500 badges on them so people wouldn't load them down like they would a dually. Just wanted to see what yall thought about it. if it is a srw 3500 that would be pretty cool .

Not real sure on what Manufacturer or years but I'm almost sure that they did make 1 tons with single rear wheels I'm sure someone here knows.

94 till 02 single wheels were 2500 and duallys were were 3500 the only real differences from a 2500 to 3500 was the extra two tires. The reasons i say this is because 2500s could have overloads and sway bars but not all the 3500s had over loads and sway bar. also i know that 2500 5spd had the dana 80 rear and 2500 autos had a dana 70 rear but i am pretty sure all 3500s had and dana 80 rear being a dually. i have a 97 with all one ton drive train, the olny reason mine is not a 3500 is because it does not have overloads and sway bar.
