Default killing your rear tires

Just got the my 12 valve back on the road, now that i dont have to worry about the KDP, i can put the ***** to the wall! I have a quick question, to save my breaks and blow out my tires, has anyone installed a hurst line lock? i would like to put one in, but didnt know if it would be dificault due to the strange master cylinder on these 97 dodges?

good question but i have no idea. if you dont want your breaks to work take the shoes off for your burnout and then put them back on later. i dont know if that would mess up the cylinders or not though

you should be able to just do it w/o the line lock .. its easier i think w/ a single wheel. im going to try it on my dually when the tires get really worn

I can burn my tires off now, but i don't want to destroy my rear breaks in a burnout contest! the truck hammers down.....even with the sure grip/ limited slip. anyone put a line lock in one of these trucks??????? maybe a manual praportion valve?

never done either of those but don't see why they wouldn't work.
can't you just un-adjust the rear brakes probably a lot cheaper and easier

you will leak fluid from the wheel cylinders if you take the pads off. as well as blow the seals out. I would run un adjusted rear brakes but they will prolly catch anyway but not as hard

pullin the shoes off is a bad idea, without them in there as soon as u touch the pedal u'll blow the pistons right out of the wheel cylinders. might wanna try adjustin them all the way off. and i dont see any reason why a line lock wouldn't work.
