500 miles i think is the general length when ya rebuild a motor just to make sure everything is tight, retorque the head gaskets

break in periods with our the newer ring technology doesn't take as much time as it used to. In most cases by the time you finish rolling a motor around and installing all the pistons you have a pretty darn good ring seat. So break it in for 500 miles drain it and roll. I wouldn't tow till it's broke in.

This is how I did it. I had a bulk of oil, ftw.

Not sure if it's the "correct" way, but no problems so far. Only have about 4k on it tho..

Put it together, start it and let it warm up to normal, change oil & filter

Drive 500 miles, change oil & filter

Drive it 1000 miles, change oil & filter

Give her hell!

is the cam new? If so run it for about 20 min and drop the oil and change the filter. If your using molly to assemble with I would only run it for 20-30 min and atleast change the oil filter as it's going to be stuffed with the molly.
