Modifications
hello all i am new here. i have owned my truck for a while now and have already done some work to it. so far i have 370 injectors, star wheel cranked up, 5" mbrp exhaust, super b special turbo, and a #100 fuel plate on its way. i am not sure what my next step should be. any suggestions?

i do have gauges, i was told that with the bigger turbo and the injectors that my egts would be a little bit higher than a stock truck, how high is too high for egts?

i have a 5 inch turbo back mbrp exhaust, how much of a difference would it make to put stacks on my truck verses a conventional exhaust, also is 5 inch too big?

For sustained operation, I would try to stay under 1200 (and that is if the probe is in the exhaust manifold)

i have no idea what the killer dowel pin is, can you explain?

cummins used a dowl pin to hold the timing case in place till they put the bolts in, eventually the pin works its way uot into the timing case, if it comes out it could do 3 things
1.) nothing fall into the oil pan and no worries
2.) come in contact with cam gear and the pin will be forced threw the timing case now needing to replace the case averag cost $1200
3.) come in contact with cam causing gear to break off cam casuing everything to F up with valves in the cylanders cost $new cummins
i realy like my 4000rpm gsk. i never go past 3200rpm or so but it fuels harder at bottom end than the 3000 gsk will. if you go past 3200rpm your valves will start float un less you put 60# valve springs in. which you dont need it you dont go over 3200rpm

just thought this would be interesting to add the new housing cover is made differently. the pin cant fall out on the new one. It has a back over the hole. Guess cummins realized they mad a mistake
