Default strange noises (engine)

well it all started leaving the store Christmas eve night. truck was still warm, and i never get on it hard till it is warm, and i had to pull out of the lot kinda quick...well WOT. i had my drivers window open and i heard a strange whistling/whining when i was at WOT. this was the first time i ever heard it.

so the next chance i get i get back on it, does the same thing. it is actually louder than the whistling of the turbo. it made the noise from 15 to 40 psi of boost, let off below 15 even 14 it wouldnt do it. now it does it at 10 psi. So whatever it is, it's getting worse...

i have a bd turbo guard on it and i removed that, still does it, cleaned my air filter thinking it was doing it, nope still doin it... all other fittings are tight on it..

it runs fine other wise, no extra smoke, good boost... i just dont get it...

if you need to know the turbo is a Phat shaft 62 from II and is 1.5 years old, and NEVER shut down hot...or over 1200* pre-turbo...

Thanks
Cody

Pull the oil feed line and see if it's getting oil.

just keeping ya'll posted

i tightened all the intercooler clamps, checked for oil flow into turbo (good flow) and tears in the boots and nothing. now i know this truck has been in a wreck and the DS lower intercooler mount is MIA so im gonna pressureize the system tomorrow and see if i got leaks or if no noise is heard or no leaks found i know that my awesome PS62 is on its way out and if it is, it will be put through its paces

thanks guys,
Cody

Intake manifold bolts are another check.. You can get a good whistle out of there as well.
