Default Oil in water?

A buddy of mine has a crapton of oil in the water but no water in the oil.


Head gasket?

Any other possibilities?

yep head gasket happened to me last month spent $2800 on the problem upgrade gasket, o-ring, intake/exhaust valve springs, head studs the hole thing definatly put a dent in my day (not oil cooler)

now rebuild it right so you dont have to do it again. o-ring and studs

why not studs? i figured since i had the head off i would do everything right, had it o-ringed, port and polished, intake and exhaust 60lb hd valve springs, oversized valves and head studs

y do orings and no studs? id rather have studs and just a reg. head gasket.

check the tranny oil there is a tranny oil cooler under the turbo that can be prone to rust and leak. other than that keep an eye on the engine oil there might not be large enough hole and enough pressure to force the coolant into the oil.
