Missing at 2200rpm?

Default Missing at 2200rpm?

when im driving down the road and i get on it its ok but when im sitting and just rev it to make it smoke it'll miss a little bit at about 2200 rpms. remember this is only when theres no load. truck has 198000 miles on it, 4gsk, no plate, gutted afc, 4in exhaust, cold air

couldnt be the governor arm stuck under the plate could it?

Since he said it has no plate I would assume it couldn't be the governor arm sticking under the plate. I could be assuming wrong tho.....

I was thinkin fuel leak but it would do it all the time if it was fuel related.

could be running out of fuel, with no load just a quick spike to that high of RPM's and no boost it could be...try going slow up to that RPM like your spoolin up to do a launch and see if it does it

I was thinking same thing maybe, No load no boost. I wouldn't think that should matter but who knows. I guess I've never tried revving mine that high before

i know my 24 valve will but thats all computer controlled TPS stuff so maybe the mechanical pump just doesnt react as fast

i was told since theres no boost, its dumping fuel hard which is makin sound like its missing

yeah theres no plate so not the gov arm, even when i slowly rev it its not gonna build any boost bc its a manual

I've got the same problem. I got hung up the other day going to my deer feeder, and when the truck was spining it would do it same rpm's as your's. Can't get it to do it goig down the road. Like you said only with no load. I was told that it could be a valve, don't know
