AfterMarket 47rh
Hey running into some trans issues and thinking that is time to upgrade just wondering what yall suggest as far as transmissions. I know ATS is the awesome but to damn expensive what about other options.
i run a Goerend 47RE. i know he will build 47rh's. the thing about tranny's is you get what you pay for. mine cost over $5200 but it is well worth it. mine has billet everything but the output shaft and extra clutches, billet converter etc. there are other brands out there, Suncoast, DTT, Dunrite (he may only do converters and VB's) get a price quote from our vendors. between all of them they should be able to price you one of each brand. just remember cheaper may not be any better in the long run, and in the same aspect the most expensive isn't always for you or your trucks combination.
He is right you need to get the tranny that best supports what you are wanting to do because if you tow alot you need to have it built for pulling and if your just looking to go ***** to the wall you need a racing setup either way they will assist you with that when you call around.
i also forgot to add. if you call Dave clear 30min to 2 hours off your schedule to talk. he is thorough....
thorough is good on a 5K+ purchas
Ill put #3 up for Dave Goerend he builds awesome Transmissions. 10k on mine 2 truck pulls a few 4wd launches and a few burnouts and not a whimper.
I have a Billet DTT with all the goodies, a triple disk, and billet flexplate I'm getting ready to sell. 14K easy highway miles. $6500 in her, but gonna let her go cheap....forced to sell it. PM me if any of you that are looking for an ultimate trans are interested. It's going on Ebay in a few days so holler at me before then!
