Question Grid heater ground?

Where would I locate one of these little wires? For some reason mines gone. I've always wondered why they never worked. Could I just use a battery cable to make one or that to heavy gauge?

Are you talking about the wires that run from the drivers side battery??

"I think" it hooks to the bottom nut on the back of the heater and to the intake horn bolt.

Ok, I thought you were talking about the 2 fusible links that go from the drivers side battery to the relays on the fenderwell.

That's the + supply. The grid heater grounds through the 4 bolts and the manifold. The gaskets are metallic with a metallic coating for a better ground.

It runs to a relay either on the drivers side or passenger side. Be two small wires on top and a cable coming off the battery to a large post.

You lost me.

I'm talking about the approx. 5" long wire thats shown in the pic hooked to the back of the heater. It hooks to the intake horn. Right?
