Hi guys, new to everything I had an emissions test done and failed because it didnt have a cat. Where would the sticker that says under the hood be if it had one. My thought is that it didnt need one. Any help would be great.Thanks

Technically, all 98 12Vs had catayltic converters. But, I cant recall seeing a sticker on mine.

There should be a white sticker listing options and such on the underside of the hood. Off the top of my head I cant remember if it lists the cat on it.

Nope - the 24Vs got the resonators 98.5-2002

 

 

I live in Loveland, Co I looked at the sticker under the hood with the options on it and no listing for a cat.

 

My '96 was a Federal emissions truck and it had a cat. I would bet yours did too.

 

Mine is a 97 and i had a cat. convertor on it when i bought it.But i had it cut out when i had the exhaust system changed,and i still passed the emmisions test easily.2500heavyduty is right,something seems fishy!!

 

i think all dodge cummins from the start had cats
