Want more power
I have a 98 12v 5 speed. I am wanting more power than what I have. I have realized my pump is not the 215 pump. I discovered this when I took it to jim jessup to have the timing advanced. I have a 160 horse pump on it. Here is a list of everything that I have done to the truck
4in exhaust
southbend single
timing 18*
#0 fuel plate
370 marine injectors
pump it turned 1/4 (Jim jessup)
jim didn’t turn it more than that because he said my truck seemed like it was not getting fuel. We talked it over and we decided I should check my fuel filter b4 any more tuning (fear of pump failure) well I brought it home and bought a new fuel filter ( mine was nasty solid black and looked like it had oil in it) truck is running much smoother at higher rpms then it was. Where should I go for more power now? GSK (4K) and #60 VS? Should I adjust my pump a little more? AFC? I am only in this truck around a grand or so all together (through wheeling and dealing)
