thats my 7.3l that im driving now and it a good truck but im ready to try something different and a new toy to play with. im really not after blowing coal and smoke im just after some basic horse power
the damper was a #%$& to take off because i dont have power tools. but you know what i found even easier is you using a half in ratchet with 15 socket and hit it with a hammer pretty good and itll loosen it up reall easy. my dumb butt was trying to figure out why the install sleeve on crankshaft seal was not fitting on there. so i broke the clear plastic thing ( install sleeve ) then i had to go to the store and get a new one, only to find out that your'e supposed to be taking the install sleeve off.
Oh God, you're doing some really serious work here and looks like you're on the right way. Subscribed to this thread to follow on the progress. Good luck!
well i have finished installing most of the parts for the truck. The air dog 4g was a problem to install, however i figured it out after some frustration. now there is a small problem with the harmonic balancer i got which doesnt have any notches in it and the sensor wont read therefore it wont show rpm and the pcu wont turn the gen on to chrage i tried grinding the notches out so i can have the sensor to read but i read somewhere that it supposed to be two notches and 1/4 wide and deep so i will try that. other than that the trucks sounds mighty fine with the new injectors and lift pump
